The Company
Serving some of the UK’s most recognisable brands, Merson Signs is an expert designer, manufacturer and installer of signs.
We are now looking for a General Labourer / Cleaner to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Wednesday, 6:30am–5:00pm and Thursday, 6:30am–3:00pm.

The Role
As a General Labourer / Cleaner, you will help maintain a clean, safe and well-organised factory environment, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our site.
You'll carry out a combination of general labouring and cleaning duties, moving pallets and materials around the factory, managing waste and ensuring production areas remain clean, tidy and safe for colleagues.
You'll also help maintain shared staff facilities to a high standard, contributing to an organised workplace while identifying and reporting any maintenance, safety or cleanliness issues.
Additionally, You Will
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Clean and maintain the staff canteen
- Clean the male toilet facilities
- Replenish cleaning products and supplies
About You
To be considered as a General Labourer / Cleaner, you will need:
- A valid counterbalance forklift truck licence
- Experience operating a counterbalance forklift safely
- The willingness to undertake both labouring and cleaning duties
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
- A reliable, punctual and hardworking approach
- Good attention to cleanliness, organisation and workplace safety
- A positive, helpful and team-focused attitude
