Job Overview & Purpose:
The General Maintenance Operative is responsible for undertaking a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the premises. You will work as part of a team to carry out planned and reactive maintenance duties, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional approach at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and reactive maintenance tasks including repairs to building fabric, plumbing, electrical systems, and heating
- Assist with preventative maintenance schedules
- Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition
- Record and report all maintenance activities accurately
- Follow health and safety regulations and company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors and colleagues
Requirements:
- Experience in general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting skills
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are advantageous
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Willingness to work flexible hours if required
- Valid driver's license is a plus
