Job Title: General Maintenance Operative
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £30,000 - £31,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (rotating shifts)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Maintenance Operative to join an established business. You will support the maintenance, security, and general appearance of the site, carrying out a variety of practical and operational duties.
Responsibilities
- Secure buildings and respond to alarms and emergency call-outs
- Carry out general repairs, plumbing, heating, painting, and maintenance
- Identify and report hazards and defects
- Prepare rooms for events and meetings
- Assist with deliveries, waste, and recycling
- Respond appropriately to emergencies
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and site procedures

Skills & Experience:
- Previous maintenance, caretaking, or handyperson experience
- Full clean driving licence
- Basic IT, English, and numeracy skills
- Good understanding of health and safety and COSHH
- Comfortable working at height with appropriate training
- Reliable, flexible, and physically capable
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Professional approach
