Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and ambitious leader to join our Coastal West Sussex leadership team as a General Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a portfolio of community mental health services, working alongside clinical and professional leaders to deliver high-quality, safe and effective care for the communities we serve.
As part of a senior Divisional Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping services, supporting staff, improving performance and ensuring people receive the care they need when they need it.
The opportunity
This is a broad and influential leadership role where you will be responsible for the operational management and performance of multidisciplinary mental health services across Coastal West Sussex.
- Work closely with clinical leaders, partner organisations and wider system stakeholders to deliver service improvements, drive innovation and ensure services continue to meet the changing needs of local communities.
- Contribute to major transformation programmes and help shape the future of community mental health services.

What you'll be doing
- Leading the delivery of high-quality community mental health services within available resources
- Working as part of a Divisional Leadership Team to provide collective leadership across services
- Delivering key operational, financial and performance objectives
- Leading service improvement, transformation and change programmes
- Supporting safe, effective and responsive services through strong governance and risk management
- Responding to patient safety investigations, complaints and service concerns, ensuring learning is embedded
- Building effective relationships with staff, service users, carers, local authorities and NHS partners
- Leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent outcomes
About you
You will be an experienced healthcare leader with a track record of successfully managing complex services and delivering operational performance within health or social care settings.
- Bring strong leadership, partnership-working and change management skills, alongside experience of managing resources, improving performance and leading teams through periods of transformation.
- Build positive relationships, inspire colleagues and balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
