This key role will see you provide operational and strategic leadership for the contract and Hard Facilities Management services, ensuring delivery within budget and the achievement of contractual requirements.

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Manage complex client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement in asset management and hard service delivery.

You will create a safe and stable environment to deliver an injury-free project and provide visible employee enablement and engagement. You will lead the development of the team, facilitate succession planning and career development opportunities, ensure contract compliance, and oversee the effective delivery of FM services. Create growth by realising available opportunities including lifecycle and capital works, and support other work-winning activities when required.

We are currently looking for a General Manager who will

As The General Manager, You Will

  • Full operational profit accountability for the contract.
  • Responsible for the delivery of Hard FM services at the site, including Projects and Lifecycle.
  • Lead and develop the Operations team direct reports, and work with the Project Director to provide resilience and second line of leadership support to the Performance and Compliance and Capital Works teams.
  • Take responsibility for all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental management. Participate in developing, maintaining, and executing a Health, Safety, Environment and sustainability project action plan.
  • Understand the contract operationally and commercially and set commensurate targets.
  • Accurately report progress each month, including key activities linked to compliance and H&S. To take a proactive approach to prevent losses and maximise profitability.
  • Take a highly visible lead in developing relationships with the Client and Customer, driving collaboration across the team and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage resources to achieve project timescales and budget.
  • Develop and maintain effective, efficient and cohesive project teams with a shared sense of purpose, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Lead and inspire the contract team ensuring all employees have a current review and learning plan, that succession plans are in place, and that the team is positively engaged.
  • Ensure that management by information is practised, that effective performance review structures are in place and that measurement and review drive continuous improvement in maintenance performance.
