GENERAL MANAGER

HIGH ENERGY. WET LED. OWN THE FLOOR.

What's in it for you?

  • £55,000 - £60,000 base salary
  • 15% bonus scheme
  • The autonomy to genuinely own a venue and make it your own
  • A prime central London location with enormous footfall and a strong corporate market on the doorstep
  • A business that's been rebuilt from the ground up and is now in its strongest ever position

Who are they?

They are a high-energy, experience-led sports bar and entertainment venue right in the heart of central London - a 400-capacity site that draws a brilliant mix of corporate groups, sports fans and walk-in trade. Drinks account for over half of revenue, there's a strong activity offer alongside the bar, and the atmosphere on a big sports day is something else entirely.

The business has been through a period of significant change and has come out the other side in great shape - leaner, better run, and with a clear focus on making this flagship site the best it can possibly be. The tech has been overhauled, the systems are clean, and the team is ready for the right leader to come in and take things to the next level.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll get up to?

  • Own the full day-to-day operation - this is your venue to lead, develop and drive
  • Push commercial performance across wet sales, activity revenue and F&B - always thinking forward, not back
  • Lead and develop a team of 25–35 across bar, floor and kitchen
  • Plan proactively for big sports days, peak trading periods and corporate events - always prepared, never caught off guard
  • Maintain the highest standards across guest experience, venue presentation and the bar offer
  • Work closely with the Operations team to shape the direction of the venue and the wider business

What are they looking for?

  • A proven GM or senior bar manager from a high-volume, wet-led environment - sports bars, competitive socialising or similar fast-paced, footfall-driven venues
  • Commercially driven and always thinking ahead - where are we now, where do we want to be, and how do we get there
  • Big energy and high standards - someone who brings pace and pride into the venue every single day
  • Thrives under pressure - in control, proactive and leading from the front when it's busy, not overwhelmed by it
  • Autonomous and solutions-focused - someone who identifies problems and fixes them without being asked
  • Genuinely passionate about the bar offer and the product - this is a wet-led business and it needs to feel like home
