Role Description
The General Manager role is a full-time, on-site position located in the London Area, United Kingdom. The General Manager oversees day-to-day operations, including managing staff, supervising purchasing and inventory, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. This role coordinates with suppliers and customers, negotiates pricing and contracts, and monitors quality and compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. The General Manager is responsible for budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting, as well as setting performance targets and implementing process improvements. The role also includes building a positive workplace culture, ensuring safe working practices, and collaborating with senior leadership on strategic planning and business growth.

- Demonstrated experience in operations or general management, ideally within wholesale, food, or related industries.
- Strong skills in team leadership, staff supervision, and performance management to support a safe and productive work environment.
- Proficiency in inventory control, supply chain coordination, and vendor management to maintain product quality and availability.
- Capability in budgeting, financial oversight, and basic data analysis to guide cost-effective decisions and business planning.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and relevant regulatory requirements, with a commitment to compliance.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, make timely decisions, and resolve operational issues proactively.
- Relevant education in business, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
