Overview:
Good Time Golfin opened in 2022, trades 7 days a week and is a fast-paced, high-volume, competitive-socialising leisure venue with golf at its heart. The site has a state-of-the-art Driving Range, Adventure Golf, Pitch ‘n Putt course with Food & Beverage. The business is part of Maple Leaf Golf, owned and operated by Richard & Sally Haygarth, with sites in Epsom, Worthing & Chichester. Good Time Golfin will be adding VIP Range bays in Autumn 2026 and padel courts in mid-2027.
We are seeking a hands-on General Manager to take full ownership of this fast-paced, operationally demanding environment and drive sales. This role is about running a tight operation, setting high standards, leading from the front, and creating a top-notch work culture. FISH has recently been introduced to the business, which is being used to drive improvement in already high standards of customer service. FUN is at the heart of what we do, and the successful candidate will bring tons of energy and a great sense of humour!

- Consistently deliver truly memorable experiences for our customers
- Present the site to the highest standard every day
- Drive 5-star operational standards and customer service
- Lead by example with regular customer contact and engagement
- Inspire the team to deliver great experiences
- Work with group sales and marketing to maximize revenue on site
- Review customer feedback and use it to drive continuous improvement
- Manage recruitment
- Ensure high Health & Safety standards are achieved
Food & Beverage Performance
- Own the F&B operation end-to-end, including bar and food service
- Drive F&B revenue growth through strong execution, upselling, and service standards
- Manage stock, wastage, and ordering
- Deliver agreed gross margin targets balancing quality & profitability
- Ensure F&B supports peak trading, events, and group bookings
- Continuously review the offering to balance quality and profitability
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene & compliance
People & Rota Management
- Create a strong, passionate team using FISH principles with clear communication
- Create a positive, fun work environment and develop the team
- Ensure regular one-to-ones with direct reports together with monthly team meetings
- Set clear expectations around performance and accountability
- Recruit, train, and retain strong team members
- Conduct regular customer service & sales training sessions
- Manage key KPIs:
- Site presentation
- Customer service
- Wage control
- F&B gross margins
- Commercial performance
- Prompt action when targets missed

Skills & Experience
- High customer service standards
- Strong sales skills
- Good knowledge of FISH & how to engage people with great customer service
- Experience managing large teams in a high-volume environment
- Strong background in Food & Beverage operations
- Confident with rotas, wage control, and margin management
- Comfortable being hands-on and operationally visible
Salary
£40,000 to £48,000 depending on experience.
