Role Overview:
We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to take autonomous ownership of a high-volume industrial laundry operation processing over 30 million items per year. This is a senior leadership role with full operational and commercial responsibility for a complex, continuous production environment operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Reporting directly to the UK Managing Director of a multinational plc, you will lead the site as a true business unit, ensuring consistent output, quality, service levels, and operational performance, while also shaping the long-term development of the business. This is a hands-on, autonomous leadership role requiring visible presence, operational credibility, and the ability to build trust while driving measurable improvement. You will take full responsibility for a large-scale, continuous processing operation running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Beyond day-to-day performance, you will play a central role in shaping the future of the site, identifying new market areas, developing commercial opportunities, and building the capability required to grow over the next decade.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
