Property Description

The JW Marriott Reston Station is a sophisticated, full-service luxury hotel located in the heart of Reston’s vibrant Station District. With elevated accommodations, multiple dining experiences, and a strong focus on exceptional service, the property offers hospitality leaders an exciting opportunity to shape the guest experience and be part of a dynamic, growing destination just outside Washington, D.C.

Overview

Are you a dynamic, visionary hospitality leader ready to lead an exceptional luxury hotel through an exciting transition? The JW Marriott Reston Station presents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced General Manager to oversee a premier property in one of the region’s most dynamic markets. With the hotel transitioning into the Davidson Hospitality Group portfolio in the near future, this is an opportunity to help shape the next chapter of the property while partnering closely with ownership and Davidson leadership.

The ideal leader brings a strong luxury and full-service hotel background, a proven track record of financial and operational success, and a passion for delivering elevated guest experiences. Experience within Forbes-rated and/or Michelin-starred environments is strongly preferred, as is a sophisticated understanding of luxury service standards and high-touch guest expectations.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for hotel operations, ensuring exceptional service, quality, and financial performance
  • Lead all aspects of hotel operations, including rooms, food & beverage, sales, marketing, finance, and human resources
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive profitability, revenue growth, and long-term success
  • Build and maintain a high-performing, engaged leadership team and foster a culture of accountability and service excellence
  • Maintain exceptional operational and quality standards consistent with a luxury hospitality environment
  • Partner closely with ownership and Davidson Hospitality Group leadership to establish goals, navigate the portfolio transition, and drive property performance
  • Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and business opportunities to support continued growth
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, revenue generation, and overall financial performance
  • Serve as a visible ambassador for the hotel, cultivating relationships with guests, associates, ownership, and key community and industry partners

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including experience as a General Manager/President of a luxury or full-service hotel or resort
  • Proven success leading complex operations and delivering strong financial results
  • Experience in Forbes-rated, Michelin-starred, or similarly high-end luxury hospitality environments strongly preferred
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated success managing budgets, forecasting, revenue, and expenses
  • Exceptional leadership and team-development skills with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse team
  • Sophisticated understanding of luxury service standards and guest expectations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively partner with ownership, Davidson leadership, and hotel teams
  • Strategic, results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences

Salary Range

USD $250,000.00 - USD $275,000.00 /Yr.
