General Manager – Transport & Industrial Recruitment
Leicester | £40,000–£50,000 + Company Car/Car Allowance + Uncapped Bonus & Commission
365 People is one of the Midlands' fastest-growing independent recruitment businesses, specialising in Transport, Industrial, Commercial and Managed Services recruitment. With ambitious expansion plans and new branch openings across the UK, an experienced and commercially driven General Manager is sought to lead the flagship Transport & Industrial divisions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced recruitment leader who is passionate about developing people, driving business growth and delivering exceptional service to clients and candidates alike.
The Role
Full operational responsibility for the Transport & Industrial divisions, leading a team of Recruitment Consultants and Administrators to achieve outstanding commercial results. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the General Manager will drive branch performance, develop the team, grow client relationships and secure new business, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and service.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of Recruitment Consultants and Branch Administrators
- Conduct daily sales and operational meetings
- Hold monthly one-to-one performance reviews and development plans
- Coach and mentor consultants across recruitment, sales and client management
- Manage performance through KPIs, productivity measures and financial targets
- Support internal recruitment, interviewing and onboarding

Commercial Performance
- Own branch profit and loss performance
- Manage budgets, cost centres and financial objectives
- Deliver agreed sales, margin and profitability targets
- Identify new business and convert prospects into long-term clients
- Grow and maximise existing client relationships
- Produce accurate forecasting and reporting
Recruitment & Client Delivery
- Oversee the full 360° recruitment lifecycle across Transport & Industrial
- Ensure exceptional candidate attraction, interviewing and placement
- Coach on compelling adverts, job descriptions and candidate marketing
- Work closely with clients to tailor staffing solutions
- Support high-value accounts and strategic client meetings
Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Ensure activity complies with UK employment legislation
- Maintain strong working knowledge of CRM, job boards and recruitment tech
- Collaborate with Payroll, HR, Marketing and Finance
- Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively

About You
- Proven experience as a Branch Manager or General Manager within recruitment
- Strong knowledge of Transport and/or Industrial recruitment sectors
- Good understanding of the Leicester market
- Track record of winning new business and growing accounts
- Strong people management, coaching and mentoring skills
- Commercially driven with budget and profitability experience
- Confident with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Full UK Driving Licence

- £40,000–£50,000 depending on experience
- Company car or car allowance
- Uncapped commission and bonus
- Monday–Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–4pm
