General Manager – Hospitality (QSR)
Liverpool
Up to £40,000 + 10% Annual Bonus + Benefits
SP Executive Search is working with an established hospitality business to appoint an experienced General Manager to lead one of its Liverpool operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to build a brilliant team, create an exceptional guest experience, and deliver strong commercial performance.
The Role
As General Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the operation, including:
- Leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing team
- Creating an engaging culture where people are coached, developed, and given opportunities to progress
- Delivering an outstanding customer experience and maintaining exceptional brand and operational standards
- Taking ownership of sales, profitability, labour, productivity, and controllable costs
- Reviewing performance and KPIs and implementing plans to continually improve results
- Managing stock, waste, and inventory effectively
- Ensuring high standards across food safety, health & safety, and wider compliance
- Managing scheduling, payroll, absence, and day-to-day people processes
- Building succession within the team and developing future supervisors and managers

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an established hospitality operator who combines strong people leadership with genuine commercial credibility.
You’ll ideally already be operating as a General Manager, Restaurant General Manager, or equivalent, with experience leading a busy, fast-paced hospitality operation.
You’ll be someone who:
- Leads from the front and enjoys being visible within the operation
- Has a strong track record of developing and retaining great teams
- Understands the numbers and can confidently manage sales, labour, costs, and profitability
- Is passionate about delivering an excellent guest experience
- Can balance commercial performance with people and operational standards
- Is organised, adaptable, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving environment
- Takes real ownership of their business rather than simply managing the day-to-day
- Comfortable with some early starts in the shift patterns
