Role: General Manager

Location: Hotel Du Vin, St Andrews

We have an exciting opportunity to join our stunning Hotel Du Vin St Andrews, as General Manager. We’re looking for a leader, someone who will understand that running a successful business isn’t just about exceeding the brand standards, or having a super P&L. We want someone who will look after the team and by developing them, will deliver the expectation of first-class service.

In this role you’re a real organiser who loves leading and motivating your team. You will be driving the brand strategy in all elements of the business and set Hotel Du Vin apart from the competition as a preferred employer and destination to stay, eat and drink.

You will understand how to maximize revenue within the business by looking at the bigger picture, managing the detail through your department managers and team will be second nature and leading from the front to set the example is something you are no stranger to.

Our Hotel du Vin St Andrews is located just a short stroll from the renowned Old Course, the world's oldest and most iconic golf course, and offers 42 spacious rooms and suites, sweeping views of the beaches, a cosy bar, and a variety of dining options, we’re, therefore, looking for someone with previous experience in managing a similar sized hotel with a strong focus on food and beverage.

Our Sustainability Goals

100% of our electricity is generated using renewable energy with most of it coming from Wind Farms around the UK. We recycle a minimum of 70% of the waste from our hotels. This target is achieved by everyone in the hotel focusing on the waste we produce and is championed by our Sustainability Council who work on projects all year round. We have moved to a chemical free cleaning system in our bedrooms and public areas and an enzyme based eco-friendly system for our kitchens. You can also volunteer to work for sustainable charities 2 days per year on full pay instead of your normal workplace.
