Crowne Plaza Nottingham is a 210-room, 4-star city centre hotel with 17 meeting spaces for up to 400 delegates, two restaurants, and a full-service spa — this is a property with genuine scale and complexity, and it needs a General Manager who can run all of it at once.
The Role
You'll take full commercial and operational responsibility for the hotel, including:
- Leading the senior management team across rooms, food & beverage, conference & events, and spa operations
- Owning the P&L — budgeting, forecasting, and driving revenue and profitability across all departments
- Setting and maintaining brand standards in line with IHG's Crowne Plaza requirements
- Leading recruitment, development, and performance management for heads of department
- Building relationships with corporate and events clients to support the hotel's conference and meetings business
- Acting as the senior point of contact for ownership/Valor Hospitality leadership on performance, compliance, and strategy
- Overseeing health & safety, licensing, and statutory compliance across the property

Crowne Plaza Nottingham sits in the heart of the city centre, close to Old Market Square and Theatre Royal. The hotel has 210 guest rooms, two restaurants (Lace Maker and Swatch), 24-hour room service, and the Urban Escape Spa with pool, sauna and steam room. With 17 meeting rooms accommodating up to 400 delegates and a dedicated meetings team, it's a genuine conference and events destination for the city — giving this GM role real commercial breadth to work with.
Due to the nature of this role, successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check during the onboarding process. This will be either a basic, standard or enhanced check depending on the job role and responsibilities.
