General Manager New Opening - Leisure Destination
Newcastle
Salary: Up to 60K + 10% bonus
We are looking to recruit an experienced and hands-on General Manager to launch a high energy and thrilling indoor family entertainment centre in South Tyneside, Newcastle. The venue will welcome hundreds of thousands of customers – appealing to children, teenagers, families and adults who are looking for an exciting experience across multiple experiences, attractions and arcades that will generate a multi-million-pound turnover with a very significant food and beverage operation. As General Manager you will be supported by 5 senior managers and 80 full and part-time staff that will welcome up to 3500 visitors per day that will make this one of the largest and leading leisure destinations in the North East.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Leadership and project management team with the fit out of the venue.
- Plan and deliver high volume recruitment campaigns/assessment centres for all front-line positions.
- Be highly visible, leading, coaching and supporting your management and front-line teams.
- Champion a safety-first positive culture that energises members and visitors.
- Meet and exceed targets for admissions, party bookings, F and B and retail.
- Work closely with the marketing team, influencers and optimise all digital channels.
- Prepare and present at board level and to investors.
- Build and develop key partnerships with the Council and Community.
- Responsible for procurement and effectively managing stockholdings.
- Carry out duty management shifts and work a minimum of 1 weekend in 2.

In addition to a competitive basic salary of 50-60K dependent on experience, there is an annual performance related bonus of 10%, 28 days holiday per annum, cash plan benefit scheme and free parking on site. There are also excellent opportunities to develop your career as the business continues to expand at pace throughout the UK and Europe.
