Role Description

The General Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The General Manager oversees day-to-day operations, including managing delivery schedules, supervising staff, ensuring fleet readiness, and maintaining service quality. This role is responsible for coordinating logistics, optimizing routes, monitoring performance metrics, and resolving operational issues promptly. The General Manager collaborates with leadership on strategic planning, supports business development, and maintains strong relationships with clients and partners. Additional responsibilities include budget management, compliance with health and safety regulations, and implementing process improvements to support sustainable growth.

  • Strong operations and logistics management skills, with experience coordinating daily workflows, routes, and resources.
  • Proven leadership and people management abilities, including team supervision, performance coaching, and staffing coordination.
  • Experience with customer service and client relationship management, ensuring high satisfaction and timely issue resolution.
  • Business and financial acumen, including budgeting, reporting, and basic data analysis for operational decision-making.
  • Background in transportation, last-mile delivery, supply chain, or related fields is highly beneficial.
  • Commitment to sustainability and an interest in eco-friendly transport solutions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a management or senior supervisory role; relevant degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
