Company Description

🍻 Ready to lead a flagship pub in the heart of Salisbury?

If you're an experienced General Manager who knows how to run a big, busy, and commercially successful pub, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Right in the centre of Salisbury and sitting alongside the River Avon, the Bishops Mill is a landmark pub with a great location, strong reputation, and plenty of reasons for customers to visit.

This is a large, profit-making site – and we're looking for someone who can take it from successful to exceptional.

πŸ“ Why the Bishops Mill?

  • Location. Scale. Opportunity.
  • The Bishops Mill sits right in the heart of Salisbury, alongside the River Avon and just a short walk from the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Gardens.
  • It's a pub that's been through a significant transformation, having been completely rebuilt around eight years ago, and has established itself as a key part of the Salisbury hospitality scene.
  • With a picturesque beer garden, live sport, arcade and bar games, pool, great food, and a family-friendly atmosphere, there's plenty going on.
  • But this role isn't about simply maintaining what's already there.
  • It's about asking what more the Bishops Mill can achieve.

For the right General Manager, this is a chance to take the reins of a flagship, profitable site and really put your stamp on its next chapter.

Job Description

πŸš€ What's the opportunity?

The Bishops Mill is already a well-established and successful business, but there is still plenty of room to grow.

As General Manager, you'll have the freedom to look at the bigger picture and ask:

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
