Up to £60,000 plus bonus - live in 1 bed flat available

The Half Moon is a beautifully restored Grade II-listed pub and hotel, set in the heart of Herne Hill overlooking Brockwell Park, with excellent transport links into central London. Combining classic character with modern sophistication, it is loved by locals and visitors alike for its exceptional food, warm hospitality and stylish surroundings.

The business boasts a strong food-led offer, featuring seasonal menus, an outdoor kitchen and one of the area's most sought-after Sunday roast destinations. Alongside a premium drinks range and 12 individually designed boutique bedrooms, The Half Moon benefits from extensive outdoor trading space and a thriving events calendar that drives significant trade throughout the year.

We are looking for an exceptional General Manager who combines outstanding leadership skills with strong commercial acumen. This role requires an inspirational people leader capable of building, developing and retaining a high-performing management team, creating a culture of accountability, engagement and excellence across the business. As the leader of a large and complex operation, you'll be confident managing performance, identifying future talent and creating an environment where individuals and teams can thrive.

Equally, you'll be a natural sales driver who understands how to maximise every revenue opportunity. You'll have a proven track record of growing sales through exceptional execution, local marketing initiatives, community engagement, events, premiumisation and a relentless focus on guest experience. You'll continually seek new opportunities to grow market share, increase footfall and ensure The Half Moon remains the destination venue of choice in the area.

The successful candidate will bring significant experience from a high-volume food and drink environment, along with the ability to balance operational excellence, commercial performance and team development. You'll lead from the front, inspire confidence, make decisions with conviction and take ownership of delivering outstanding results.

This is a fantastic opportunity to run one of Fuller's most iconic London businesses. With strong foundations already in place and considerable opportunities for further growth, we're looking for a General Manager who can build on the success of The Half Moon and take the business to new heights.

  • Our General Manager contracts are 40 hour a week over 5 days, business needs can influence this but we never "celebrate" working too many hours!!
