General Manager – Luxury Health Club

West London

£55,000 + Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Love Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with our client, a prestigious luxury health club located in the heart of West London, to recruit an exceptional General Manager.

This independent boutique club offers its members an outstanding fitness and wellness experience, combining industry-leading personal trainers and fitness professionals with state-of-the-art gym, swimming pool and spa facilities, all within a welcoming and sophisticated environment.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead the club's management team and take full ownership of the club's commercial and operational performance. You'll be responsible for driving strategy across Fitness, Group Exercise and Member Experience, whilst overseeing Sales and Marketing to ensure continued growth, member satisfaction and team success.

As General Manager, you'll inspire your team to deliver exceptional standards across every area of the business. You'll combine commercial acumen with outstanding leadership, ensuring the club continues to exceed expectations for both members and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and inspire the club's management team, including the Sales & Membership Manager, Fitness Manager, Group Exercise Manager and Operations Manager.
  • Develop and execute strategies that improve commercial and operational KPIs.
  • Deliver an exceptional member journey and consistently outstanding customer experience.
  • Analyse business performance, manage budgets and make data-driven decisions.
  • Drive revenue growth while achieving sales, retention and operational targets.
  • Support and develop the Fitness team to deliver an industry-leading training environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support the ongoing development of department heads.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the club, ensuring departments work collaboratively.
  • Maintain exceptional standards throughout the club at all times.
  • Ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are fully implemented and adhered to.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with on-site partners and key stakeholders.

About You

We're looking for an experienced leader who combines commercial awareness with a genuine passion for people and service.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous General Manager or senior multi-department management experience within the health, fitness, hospitality or leisure sector - ideally in a high end environment.
  • A natural ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience managing KPIs and budgets.
  • Proven commercial awareness with experience driving business performance and revenue growth.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to embrace change and continuously improve systems and processes.
  • Outstanding customer service standards and a passion for delivering exceptional member experiences.
  • Confidence communicating with stakeholders at every level of the business.
