YOUR ROLE

Our Contract Logistics team have an exciting opportunity for a meticulous and customer-centric General Manager to join our key operation based in Kettering. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and has a passion for developing people, driving continuous improvement, and building outstanding customer partnerships.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

As the General Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the overall performance of the site, leading multiple customer contracts, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring we consistently deliver operational excellence and exceptional customer service.

With full ownership of the site's P&L, budget setting, and financial performance, you'll maximise revenue opportunities while maintaining effective control of operational costs. You'll identify opportunities to drive growth, improve efficiency, and embed a culture of continuous improvement. You'll also champion a safe and compliant working environment, working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve business objectives and shape the future success of the operation.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be successful in your application, you will be able to demonstrate significant operational management and leadership experience ideally within a fast-paced, multi-site contract logistics or 3PL environment. You will be able to demonstrate experience of building and developing exceptional client relationships and possess strong people management skills with the ability to create a high-performance culture through coaching and development.

You will have proven P&L management skills with strong commercial acumen, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to delve into the detail and challenge the status quo when required.
