About the Role

Opportunities to build a flagship operation from the ground up don't come around often. As General Manager, you'll take ownership of a brand-new, highly automated logistics facility, leading the mobilisation, implementation and operational strategy that will set the standard for performance, innovation and customer service.

This is far more than a traditional operations role. You'll have the unique opportunity to shape the future of a multi-customer operation, influence site design and ways of working, build a high-performing culture, and lead a talented team through a major mobilisation programme towards a significant go-live milestone. If you're energized by transformation, leadership and making a lasting impact, this could be the challenge you've been waiting for.

A Typical Day May Involve

  • Leading the end-to-end operation across warehousing, transport and distribution activities, ensuring service, quality and operational performance targets are consistently achieved.
  • Driving daily operational reviews, analysing KPIs and implementing actions that improve productivity, customer experience and site performance.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, acting as the senior point of contact and ensuring DHL remains the logistics partner of choice.
  • Leading, coaching and inspiring operational leadership teams to create a highly engaged, inclusive and performance-focused culture.
  • Overseeing the mobilisation and implementation of a brand-new automated operation, ensuring a seamless journey from fit-out through to go-live.
  • Working closely with engineering, automation and support teams to optimise ASRS and flow room systems, delivering operational excellence from day one.
  • Taking full ownership of site financial performance, including budget management, cost control and delivery of P&L commitments.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, compliance and operational governance are embedded across a highly regulated environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
