General Manager – Premium Gastro Pub with Rooms
Location: Lewes, East Sussex
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Tronc + Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We're recruiting an exceptional General Manager for a stunning gastro pub with rooms in the heart of Lewes.
This is a flagship venue that has built an outstanding reputation for its quality food, warm hospitality, beautiful accommodation, and commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences. Combining exceptional seasonal menus, a strong drinks offering, and stylish rooms, this is a business that continues to go from strength to strength.

As General Manager, you'll have full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of this thriving venue, leading a passionate team across food, beverage, and rooms.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the pub and rooms operation
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences across food, drink, and accommodation
- Drive sales, profitability, and operational performance
- Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing management and team structure
- Maintain outstanding service standards throughout the business
- Manage budgets, labour, stock control, and financial performance
- Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure a seamless food and service offering
- Build strong relationships within the local community
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements
- Contribute to future business growth and expansion initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a General Manager within a quality gastro pub, restaurant, hotel, or premium hospitality environment
- Strong food-led operational background
- Experience overseeing multiple revenue streams, including accommodation, desirable
- Commercially minded with a proven track record of delivering results
- Inspirational leadership style with a passion for developing teams
- High standards and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience
