We are a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate General Manager. This position reports to the Vice President Marine EMEA and will work in our Selsey Office.
About The Position
As a General Manager in the EMEA Marine team, you will have full responsibility for the P&L. Comply with all legal obligations and local legislation as well as with group governance. Provide leadership in line with Group core values. Be responsible for manufacturing sites in Selsey, West Sussex (UK) and Vermont (US)
Your Main Responsibilities
- Establish a clear and efficient organization
- Drive the Dometic UK/US Blind Systems bespoke products (Blind, shades, soft furnishings) manufacturing within Marine division
- Ensure that long-term and short-term profitability is reached
- Represent the company in various official occasions with customers as well as suppliers, business partners, legal and official authorities in the UK
- Work in close relation with reporting line to the VP Marine EMEA
- Work closely with and build positive relationships with peers in the other European markets and with the management team for the region
- Work may require occasional travel, weekend and/or evening
- Oversee and direct day-to-day operations and activities of the business while ensuring bottom-line profitability
- Implementing the policies of a company and making sure that they are adhered to
- Delegating duties to appropriate people within the business
- Develop reporting tools to monitor the ongoing performance of the company
- Communicating company reports and achievements to the board, shareholders, and business partners
- Maintaining and monitoring budgets to make sure that the business operates efficiently from a financial perspective
- Guiding and maintain the performance of the company
- Supervising executives and managers and providing leadership and motivation to all employees
- Establishing relationships with industry and marketing experts, thought leadership through publication and build the company public profile through networking, conferences, and speaking engagements
- Introducing initiatives to optimise market opportunities and the use of strengths while minimising risks
- Preparing long-term and short-term goals and company objectives
- Analysing problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth
- Defining operational goals and making sure that the organisation works towards achieving them
- Liaising with directors to ensure a consistent approach to running the organisation
- Serving as the public face of the company

Suitable Background
A suitable background would be a solid experience within Marine and Manufacturing – as well as the following qualifications and experiences:
- MBA in Business administration or MSc in Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in senior-level leadership with own P&L responsibility
- 5+ years manufacturing management experience in complex, manufacturing environment
- Experience conducting business on a B2B basis, strategic planning and execution
- Ability to drive change management
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality output within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
- Ability to collaborate, participate in and facilitate group meetings
