We are seeking an accomplished and commercially driven General Manager to provide strategic, operational and commercial leadership across major civil engineering projects and business units within Ghana on an Expat assignment.
This is a high-profile leadership opportunity for an experienced civil engineering professional who thrives in complex, high-value environments and has the vision, commercial acumen and leadership capability to drive both business performance and sustainable growth.
You will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of major infrastructure programmes, from business development and tendering through to project execution and commercial performance. Working across diverse project environments and international markets, you will build strong relationships with clients, government and industry stakeholders while leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams.

As General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the region's success. You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on commercial and operational oversight, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively support development of new business opportunities, building relationships with appropriate ministerial and other government officials, senior personnel in international and local construction companies and community leaders
- Manage the work tendering process, liaising with corporate and specialist colleagues and co-ordinating bid team activities
- Deliver the business plan – utilising resources effectively to meet agreed sales, customer service, profit, revenue, cash and SHEQ targets
- Provide effective leadership and direction, building, developing and motivating a strong and highly empowered management / technical team and workforce
- Develop and maintain a good and safe working environment, with international standard operational practices, conditions of work and accommodation
- Ensure adherence to appropriate company processes and standards
Your Experience & Skills
Essential Criteria
- HND or equivalent in a relevant field such as Building Technology, Civil Engineering or a Construction related field
- Deep construction industry knowledge with a detailed understanding of Road, Airport, Bridges or Industrial Parks design and Construction
- Adaptable to different cultures
- Strong leadership, management, communication, influencing and networking skills
- Deep commercial, financial and project management understanding
- Deep knowledge of business development, bidding and client management
