Job Description:
General Manager — Kloud Glasgow
Lead the next chapter of Kloud.
Kloud Glasgow is entering an exciting period of growth, and we’re looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead the team, shape the guest experience and play a key role in our next phase of expansion.
We’re building one of the most exciting hospitality companies in the market — creating unique architectural spaces, exceptional products and destination venues that challenge convention and stay ahead of the curve.
As General Manager, you’ll be at the heart of that vision.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious hospitality leader who wants more than simply running a venue. We’re looking for someone who wants to build something, develop people, create community and leave their mark on a growing business.
The Role
As General Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day performance and long-term success of the venue.
You’ll lead from the front — setting standards, developing your team and ensuring every guest experience reflects what Kloud stands for.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading, inspiring and developing a high-performing management and wider venue team
- Creating a culture built around exceptional service, energy, ambition and accountability
- Driving commercial performance across sales, labour, costs and profitability
- Maintaining consistently high operational and service standards
- Building a strong local community around the venue
- Recruiting, coaching and developing the next generation of hospitality talent
- Working closely with the wider Kloud team to deliver new ideas, initiatives and experiences
- Staying ahead of hospitality, speciality coffee and cocktail trends
- Helping shape the evolution of the Kloud brand as we continue to grow

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who We’re Looking For

Experience within speciality coffee, cocktail bars, premium hospitality or high-volume venues would be a significant advantage.
More importantly, you’ll be someone who:
- Is ambitious and hungry to grow
- Leads by example and knows how to inspire others
- Takes genuine pride in delivering exceptional hospitality
- Develops people rather than simply managing them
- Understands both the guest experience and the commercial side of the business
- Thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Is naturally curious and excited by innovation
- Understands the importance of community and culture
- Wants to build something bigger than themselves
