About The Role
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for the catering and hospitality industry? We’re seeking an experienced General Manager to join our team in Bury St Edmunds. This role is pivotal to Cote’s ongoing success, offering an exciting opportunity to lead a thriving establishment, ensuring exceptional customer experiences while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the team to deliver outstanding service and achieve sales targets.
- Manage daily operations efficiently, ensuring compliance with company standards and health & safety regulations.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and profit maximisation.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to maintain high levels of motivation and performance.
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to enhance the venue’s reputation.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to guarantee the highest standards in food and service.
- Analyse business metrics and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Ensure the venue operates in compliance with all relevant licensing and legal requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role within the catering & hospitality sector.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets, costs, and financial reports.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards relevant to hospitality.
- Proficient in using hospitality management software and MS Office applications.
- Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
