Job Openings at The Surgery Care Group

The Surgery Care Group is looking to hire two General Managers. These roles will focus on operational and strategic business planning and leadership for specific Clinical Business Units (CBUs) within the Care Group.

About the Role

The successful candidates will provide strong leadership, ensuring a culture of continuous and evidence-based improvement in all aspects of the service area. This is to achieve a high-quality, efficient, effective, and patient-focused range of services in line with quality, financial performance, and strategic objectives. The candidates will actively demonstrate the Trust values in their work and support the Trust’s commitment to inclusion and positive cultural change.

Requirements

  • Experience within the acute sector at a senior manager level
  • Operational responsibility for complex specialties/services
  • Proven track record of achieving challenging healthcare targets
  • Educated to Masters Level, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable and credible experience of senior operational management roles in a complex organization
  • High level of financial acumen
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while having a view on strategic direction
  • Proven track record of delivering performance targets
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Experience as a leader and manager of staff
  • Knowledge and experience of service transformation

Lincoln Hospital is located in a thriving university city with the opening of the medical school. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status and will now be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Pilgrim Hospital is situated in beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.

Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory pediatric and accident and emergency services.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG). This arrangement aims to improve the care provided to patients across the county.
