General Manager

London, Midlands, Leeds

£140,000 to 150,000 + package

Partner Financial are delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing business operating within the industrial gases and sustainable process industries in the appointment of a commercially driven General Manager. This is a broad leadership opportunity within an innovative organisation. The business has established a strong position through its focus on reliability, quality, and customer service and is now entering an exciting period of expansion.

The company operates within a specialist process environment, supplying critical products to customers across a number of sectors where continuity of supply is essential. With plans to significantly increase the scale of the business over the next three to four years, including the integration of new production facilities and continued market expansion, this is an important appointment for the organisation.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will take broad responsibility for the day-to-day management and commercial performance of the business. This is a highly hands-on role, combining commercial leadership and business development with full P&L ownership, operational oversight, and responsibility for supply chain resilience. The General Manager will have a significant role in shaping the next phase of growth, strengthening the organisation's infrastructure, and ensuring it has the people, processes, and capabilities required to scale successfully.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
