General Catering Manager - Bournville

Up to £45,000 per annum

Monday – Friday | Full-time

Monthly Travel To Chirk & Marlbrook Required

Lead a Multi-Site Workplace Catering Operation

We’re looking for an experienced and commercially focused General Manager to lead the operation in Bournville, whilst also overseeing the wider group across Chirk and Marlbrook.

About The Role

As General Manager, you’ll have overall responsibility for the successful day-to-day operation at Bournville, whilst providing leadership and support across the wider Mondelez group.

You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Leading and developing a large operational team across multiple outlets.
  • Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Bournville contract.
  • Building and maintaining strong, proactive relationships with the client.
  • Working closely with the client to understand their needs and consistently exceed expectations.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow sales, improve profitability and develop the overall offer.
  • Driving a consistent and high-quality food and hospitality offer.
  • Managing multiple outlets and ensuring consistent operational standards across the site.
  • Completing and overseeing daily and weekly financial and operational bookwork.
  • Monitoring performance against agreed targets and KPIs.
  • Supporting and developing managers and team members to deliver their best performance.
  • Ensuring all Compass standards, food safety, health & safety and compliance requirements are maintained.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider Mondelez management team to share best practice and drive consistency.
  • Providing remote support to the Chirk and Marlbrook sites on a weekly basis.
  • Visiting Chirk and Marlbrook approximately once a month to provide operational leadership, support and ensure standards are maintained.
  • Managing your time effectively across a multi-site operation, balancing the needs of Bournville with wider group responsibilities.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced General Manager, Contract Manager, Operations Manager or similar senior catering professional with a strong background in large-scale workplace catering.

Experience of managing large teams across multiple outlets would be highly advantageous.

You’ll Be

  • A confident and experienced people leader who knows how to motivate, develop and engage a large team.
  • Highly client-focused, with excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded, with a genuine desire to identify opportunities to grow sales and improve performance.
  • Organised and structured, with excellent time management skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working across several locations.
  • Flexible and resilient, with the ability to respond positively to changing client requirements.
  • A natural people person who builds trust quickly and leads from the front.
  • Confident working with financial information, bookwork, budgets and KPIs.
  • Passionate about delivering a consistent, high-quality food and hospitality offer.
  • Comfortable working independently and providing effective remote support to other sites.
  • Able to drive, with the flexibility to travel to Chirk and Marlbrook on a monthly basis.
