GENERAL MANAGER – BUSINESS OPERATIONS & STRATEGIC GROWTH
£60,000 starting salary + performance-related bonus
North West | National travel

GSTS is seeking an experienced General Manager to join our senior leadership team at an important stage in our continued growth.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the General Manager will provide day-to-day leadership across the business, with responsibility for management teams, key client relationships, operational and commercial performance, and supporting the continued development of the organisation.
Alongside our established security operations, GSTS has ambitions to expand further into Facilities Management, training, and wider outsourced services. The successful candidate will play a key role in navigating and driving this growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and develop managers, driving accountability and performance
- Maintain oversight of operational, client, and commercial performance
- Develop executive-level relationships with key clients
- Support client retention, organic growth, and new business
- Lead and support major tenders, bids, and public-sector procurement
- Oversee complex contract mobilisations and TUPE transfers
- Support commercial strategy, profitability, and risk management
- Support expansion into FM, training, and wider services
- Oversee the retention and expansion of company accreditations and certifications
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and business development
- Support the CEO in delivering GSTS’ strategic objectives
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Senior leadership within outsourced services
- Leadership of managers and multi-site operations
- Strong client and commercial management experience
- Complex mobilisation and TUPE experience
- Significant tender/bid experience, including public-sector procurement
- Business development and organic growth experience
- Strong commercial and financial awareness

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Manned guarding/security services
- Facilities Management/integrated services
- Training or vocational learning services
- Healthcare, public sector, aviation, or transport
- SIA ACS, ISO, and other accreditation frameworks
This is a broad senior leadership role with genuine scope to influence the future direction of GSTS and develop your career alongside our continued growth.
