POSITION PURPOSE
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Europe, Middle East & Africa (‘EMEA’) Distribution business unit at T. Rowe Price for a General Manager to support the EMEA leadership team and business. The EMEA Distribution business unit encompasses sales, client service, marketing, consultant relations, and business management functions.
EMEA Distribution is an important part of the firm’s global diversification aspirations and is undergoing a state of investment and growth. Filling this role is a critical step to providing effective leadership support for this very important market segment. This is a coveted role with significant scope for development and opportunity at a top tier global investment manager.
The EMEA General Manager (‘EMEA GM’) will provide governance, co-ordination, planning, operational oversight, and help facilitate and execute enterprise-led initiatives and EMEA-led strategies. He or she will be a close and trusted partner to the Head of EMEA Distribution with a broad opportunity to ingrain himself/herself across a wide array of business activities. The incumbent will also act as a central point of contact for specialist functions and a key partner and liaison to other business unit leaders including shared services. The EMEA GM proactively manages and coordinates a wide variety of operating, planning and strategic material and communication, and should also be reactive to general business issues as they arise. The position manages and participates in intra- and cross-departmental initiatives, providing leverage to the BU lead team.
The EMEA GM is also responsible for making decisions related to business management needs and prioritizes across Global Distribution and corporate stakeholders by working closely with the leadership team. The incumbent will interface directly with senior management of the firm and will be directly responsible for one London-based business manager. This will involve setting work plans, ensuring high quality output of deliverables, logistics planning, ensuring deadlines are met, enacting team prioritisation, conducting annual performance reviews, and setting objectives and long-term career development plans.
This is a matrixed role, with direct line reporting to the General Manager for Americas, Asia-Pacific & EMEA (AAE) and dotted line into the Head of EMEA Distribution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
