Since 2011, Rhubarb have provided all food and drink at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.
With over 350 diverse and exciting events taking place each year, guests to the Royal Albert Hall can complement their visit with exceptional hospitality experiences.
Role Purpose
General Manager, Events – Rhubarb at the Royal Albert Hall, London
Rhubarb Hospitality Collection is looking for a General Manager, Events to lead the events division at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, London. The role encompasses 147 hospitality boxes, premium and private dining rooms, a roof terrace and the arena itself — hosting everything from corporate meetings, conferences and dinners to award shows and spectacular private events. This is a senior HoD role, part of the Royal Albert Hall Steering Committee, with full accountability for a multi-million-pound revenue stream, a permanent team of 10–15 and 50+ casual event staff at peak.

What You'll Be Doing
- Own overall event revenue and commercial performance across boxes, C&E, PDR and arena events
- Lead and develop Heads of Sales, Operations and Logistics, splitting hands-on time evenly across all three
- Drive the highest operational standards across every event, from corporate meetings to the July arena dinners
- Build strong cross-departmental relationships with restaurants, kitchens and retail
- Inspire, coach and performance-manage a wider team of c.40, including event planners and front of house managers
- Represent the events division at Steering Committee level
Who We're Looking For
- A senior events leader with experience across sales, operations and logistics
- Background in high-volume, high-end events — hotels, M&E venues, or premium cultural/entertainment spaces
- Proven track record managing managers and leading teams of a similar scale
- Commercially driven, with strong revenue growth and P&L experience
- A hands-on leader who leads by example and proactively addresses gaps in performance
- Passionate about delivering excellence and quality at every level of the guest experience
