Are you keen to join one of the UK’s leading port and logistics companies that has ambitions to grow and transform the supply chain to better serve our customers? We’re seeking a General Manager to take responsibility for the leadership, operational delivery, and commercial performance of the Humber Bulk Terminal on the East Coast of the UK.
Your role
In this role, you will provide strong leadership and hold full accountability for the Terminal’s financial performance, including revenue delivery, P&L, management, cost control, and budget ownership. You will ensure the terminal operates efficiently, meeting revenue and EBITDA targets through disciplined financial and operational management.
- Drive the terminal strategy, uploading high standards of Environment, Health and Safety, operational excellence, and customer service.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support reliable service delivery and long-term growth.
- Work collaboratively with wider teams to support the planning and delivery of capital investment programs that meet operational requirements and enable the terminal’s long-term development.
What you'll bring
- Strong commercial understanding of the ports, maritime, transport, and logistics sector, ideally with an engineering background or understanding of operational engineering.
- Experience within port, terminal, or bulk handling operations.
- Strong financial awareness including revenue delivery, cost control, budget management, and P&L accountability.
- Proven leadership experience within an operational management role.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently across internal and external stakeholder groups.
- A collaborative, team-focused mindset, committed to continuous improvement and employee development.
- Solid understanding of environment, health, and safety management, with IOSH Managing Safely certification being essential.
- A full, valid driving license.
