GENERAL MANAGER – SALES, OPERATIONS & DISTRIBUTION
Milton Keynes
£90,000 basic | £130,000+ package | Profit Share | Executive Company Car | Bupa | 6% Pension

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially driven General Manager to take responsibility for a successful £7 million business operating as a standalone profit centre within a £1 billion group.
Sales leadership sits at the heart of the role.
You will lead the commercial strategy, develop the sales team and identify new opportunities to increase revenue, margin and market share. Alongside this, you will have full P&L ownership and overall responsibility for operations, distribution, supplier relationships and business performance.
This is a genuine business leadership position with the authority, autonomy and resources to make a significant impact.
THE ROLE
You will take full responsibility for the success and continued growth of the business, including:
- Setting and delivering the sales and commercial strategy
- Leading, motivating and developing the sales team
- Increasing revenue, margin and B2B market share
- Identifying new markets, customers and growth opportunities
- Taking full ownership of the P&L, budgets and forecasts
- Overseeing operations, stockholding and distribution
- Ensuring excellent service, availability and OTIF performance
- Developing strategic relationships with global suppliers
- Negotiating commercial agreements at a senior level
- Building a capable, accountable and high-performing team
- Maintaining strong operational controls and governance
- Reporting performance and delivering against group commitments

ABOUT YOU
You will be a sales-led business leader who combines commercial ambition with the operational discipline required to run an entire business.
You will ideally bring:
- A proven record of leading and growing B2B sales
- Experience of managing a business unit, division or standalone profit centre
- Full P&L ownership and strong financial understanding
- Evidence of increasing revenue, margin and market share
- The ability to turn commercial strategy into practical action
- Experience of leading sales, operational and distribution teams
- Strong supplier negotiation and relationship-management skills
- An entrepreneurial, accountable and hands-on leadership style

- £90,000 basic salary
