Ready to lead one of Nationwide Platforms' flagship depot operations?
As General Manager at our Leeds depot, you'll lead one of our flagship depot businesses, taking responsibility for operational performance, customer satisfaction, profitability and people leadership.
This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing a complex operation with significant fleet, customer and operational activity. You'll lead through a team of department heads, developing leadership capability and creating the culture, discipline and accountability needed to deliver exceptional results. Your depot will support some of our largest customers and fulfil complex hire requirements across the UK.
In return you will receive a salary from £60,000 pa (DOE), Company car or cash allowance of £8,750, BUPA Private Medical Care, 25 days annual leave plus back holidays, Life Assurance, Auto Enrolment Pension scheme and Lifestyle Benefits – Discounts on selected high street stores.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Leading a flagship depot operation and delivering outstanding operational performance.
- Taking ownership of depot profitability, budgets and year-on-year performance improvement.
- Leading and developing a team of department heads to create high-performing teams.
- Ensuring all departments work together to efficiently fulfil customer requirements and deliver excellent service.
- Driving a customer-first culture and ensuring customers remain at the heart of everything we do.
- Optimising fleet utilisation, resource planning and operational productivity.
- Using data and KPIs to drive informed decision-making and performance improvement.
- Championing continuous improvement across processes, productivity and customer service.

What You'll Bring
- Proven experience leading a sizeable depot, operational business unit, logistics operation or similar customer-facing environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs and business performance.
- Experience leading through managers and developing future leaders.
- A passion for continuous improvement and improving operational performance.
- The ability to balance customer expectations, operational delivery and commercial outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative approach and a desire to see both your team and your peers succeed.
