Welcome to Hyatt Place London Paddington, your business & leisure hub in the heart of Paddington. Located within a 5-minute walk from Paddington Train Station and 15 minutes from Oxford Street, discover our prime base for sightseeing and shopping, surrounded by Hyde Park to the south, Marylebone, Oxford Street, Edgware Road, and Little Venice. Enjoy exceptional convenience with superb transport connections. This hotel will feature 87 rooms, offer all day dining at the lounge and library, as well as a 24/7 fitness center. Smaller meetings and events can be held at the library for a reception up to 22 guests.
Responsibilities
As the General Manager you will be accountable to:
- Oversee, manage and support the successful opening of the hotel
- Oversee the overall strategy, performance and profitability of the property: ensuring that it is operating with excellence
- Align with Hyatt’s core values to maximize revenue and profit opportunities and ensure the efficient and effective management of the property asset.
- With integrity and in alignment with our Leadership Expectations, lead a diverse team to build the trust of others in all interactions and cultivate a positive guest and colleague experience.
- Continuously find ways to improve all areas of the property and remain flexible in rapidly changing environments.
- Bring Hyatt’s values to life for the benefit of colleagues, guests, customers and owners by demonstrating excellence in all aspects of the guest experience and overall performance of the hotel.

Qualifications
Who you are:
- You are a purpose-driven leader who believes that outstanding business results begin with outstanding people.
- You combine strategic thinking with operational expertise and inspire confidence through authenticity, humility and sound judgment.
- You bring:
- Proven success leading an international select-service hotel environment
- Previous General Manager experience or significant Executive Committee leadership with demonstrated readiness for a General Manager appointment
- Strong commercial acumen and a consistent record of delivering sustainable financial performance
- Experience working closely with hotel ownership and asset management partners
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with a passion for coaching, mentoring and succession planning
- A collaborative leadership style that empowers teams while maintaining high standards of accountability
- Outstanding communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to navigate complexity with resilience, agility and optimism
- Fluency in English
