General Manager in Training/ Trainee General Manager

We’re on the lookout for a General Manager in Training for our pubs in Bristol. You will join us at Assistant Manager level, and we’ll work to develop your knowledge and skills with us. When we feel that you are ready, and the time is right, we will get you kicked off on our Internal General Manager Programme.

You will have a background in leadership roles within hospitality - this could be pub based – but we’d also be open to applications who have experience in restaurants or hotels who have a passion for pubs.

What We’re Looking For

• You’ll be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and be confident at thinking on your feet – experience of leading a team is essential.
• You’ll be people focused – whether that’s with regards to the team you work with, or with how you interact with our guests.
• You think big (and small) – You’ll set standards within the team and the business, noticing small details that others miss, and you’ll also be able to think about the pub from a GM perspective – suggesting improvements in the offer, sales driving activities and operationally.
• You’ll be willing to learn and own your development with support from your GM. We’re looking for someone who will push themselves to grow their skills knowledge.
• You are forward thinking - we’re looking for people who could be running pubs for us as General Manager within the next 6-12 months. The majority of our General Manager Appointments are from Internal Candidates.
