Khao-Sō-i

Khao So-i celebrates the food of northern Thailand. At its heart is khao soi, the rich curry noodle soup of Chiang Mai that people travel across the world to eat. We bring our spices straight from Chiangmai to make amazing dishes here in London. Located in the heart of Central London, serving yummy Thai food everyday.

We're looking for a General Manager to lead our busy, high-turnover London restaurant. You'll take full ownership of the team, the guest experience and the results, backed by a group that runs more than 200 locations across Thailand, Malaysia and the UK.

Who we are

Khao-Sō-i is part of Rocks Group, a Bangkok-based food and beverage company running 200+ locations across Thailand, Malaysia and the UK. Our sister brands include Potato Corner and UNO Coffee Company.

In London you'll lead a strong site team, including our Head Chef and two Assistant General Managers. Behind you is a head-office team covering finance, menu development, people and marketing.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Looking after people is at the core of what we do, both our guests and our team. We're small enough that good ideas get acted on quickly, and big enough to offer real structure, support and room to grow.

As General Manager, you will

  • Lead the restaurant. Take full ownership of performance, including sales, labour, food cost and margin.
  • Build and develop the team. Recruit, train and coach front-of-house, and develop your Assistant General Managers into future GMs.
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality. Set and hold the standard on the floor so every guest wants to return.
  • Partner with the kitchen. Work closely with the Head Chef on quality, speed and consistency, and lead new menu launches.
  • Grow the business. Work with our marketing team on local activity, delivery and partnerships.
  • Uphold standards. Own food safety, health and safety, licensing, stock control and compliance.
