Company Description

Ready to make The Cow your own?

If you’re an experienced pub manager who loves busy sites, live sport, great teams and finding new ways to grow a business, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and take The Cow to the next level.

About The Cow

Next to Parkstone railway station and opposite Ashley Cross Green, The Cow is a vibrant Pub & Social venue with plenty of personality and even more potential.

This is a two-floor operation, with a welcoming main pub on the ground floor and additional bookable space upstairs, complete with its own bar – perfect for parties, meetings and private events.

Outside, we have a ground-floor area plus a fantastic 30-cover roof terrace, giving our guests even more reason to visit throughout the year.

Sport is a huge part of what we do, particularly rugby, and we’re looking for a General Manager who can build on this success by growing our football, darts, F1 and wider live entertainment offer.

We also have a unique pizza offer, giving us something different from other pubs in the local area.

Job Description

About the role

As General Manager, you’ll have the freedom to make The Cow your own, building on what already works while identifying new opportunities to grow the business.

You’ll lead from the front, developing a great team, delivering fantastic guest experiences and creating a pub that people are proud to call their local.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
