Experience Required: 2 Years

Salary: Up to £50,000 / Year

Closing Date: Open - a month left (Expires on Fri, 13 Nov 2026)

About the Role

Are you a passionate and creative General Manager looking for your next challenge? We’re looking for an ambitious pub leader to take the reins at The Elgin, one of Notting Hill’s best-loved pubs, and help shape its next chapter.

Situated on the corner of Ladbroke Grove, just moments from Notting Hill, The Elgin is a beautiful Victorian pub with bags of character, a loyal local following and huge potential. Combining traditional pub charm with a lively, contemporary atmosphere, it is a pub full of personality, serving fantastic fresh, seasonal food and expertly crafted cocktails, live sport, Sunday roasts and memorable private events.

As General Manager, you’ll have a fantastic pub to make your own, with a beautiful Victorian interior, a distinctive gin palace-style bar downstairs, two private dining rooms upstairs and a spacious outdoor terrace. Whether guests are joining us for a relaxed lunch, our famous Sunday roast, cocktails with friends, live sporting action or a special celebration, there’s always something happening at The Elgin.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
