More About The Role
We are looking for a General Manager to lead and drive Myton Food Group’s newest growth opportunity: Myton International. This business unit operates an Import-Agency model, primarily focusing on Ambient & Frozen goods under Tertiary brands, Morrisons own brand, and additional non-Morrisons customers.
As the Lead Senior Manager, you will be responsible for owning this new business unit and the delivery of a 3-year sales plan. Working directly with our key Sourcing Partners, you will accurately target prospective business opportunities, build full end-to-end supply chain routes and manage key stakeholders.
This role is based at Cutler Heights (Myton Head Office).
Key responsibilities will include:
- Strategy & Business Growth: You will take full commercial ownership of generating major new revenue streams and profit margins in the immediate term, while positioning the business for sustained, long-term sales expansion over the coming years.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management: Taking full ownership of customer relationships across trading opportunities (including Morrisons Buying and Technical Teams).
- Sourcing & Technical Execution: Leading Sourcing Partners to land new supply safely, enabling technical due diligence, and enforcing critical paths.
- Process & Supply Chain Evolution: Establishing brand new ways of working, driving joined-up end-to-end supply chain processes, and overseeing the Supply Chain Manager.
- Commercial Leadership: Providing detailed market and pipeline insights to the Senior Leadership Team, continually driving for strategic volume-led opportunities, and managing price changes to accurately recover margin and cost price inflation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Building strong ties with Retail Buying, Technical, NPD, and central Myton support teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
