East London

The Opportunity

We are working with an independent, high-volume hospitality business in East London to appoint an outstanding General Manager. The successful candidate must have strong bars experience, and will absolutely know what good looks like when it comes to running an awesome hospitality venue.

You'll lead a large and capable team, and won't be the one having to do all of the do!

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the General Manager will have full accountability for the day-to-day performance of the venue, setting strategy as well as driving operational excellence.

You will lead a substantial operational team, working through a management structure that includes senior operational managers. Whilst being present at key times is vital, your focus will be on leadership, engagement, and the training and development of your team.

Key responsibilities will include:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
