Company Description

New Club Opening Autumn 2026

Be the founding General Manager of our brand-new Everlast Gyms club in Livingston. This is a rare chance to open a club from day one, building the team, setting the standards, and shaping the member experience from the ground up.

As General Manager, you'll be accountable for the day-to-day running of your club, leading from the front across sales, service, and operations. You'll set the pace for high standards, drive every revenue stream, and make sure each member's visit feels exceptional.

You'll recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing team that consistently hits its KPIs and takes the member journey to the next level, all with a sharp eye for detail and the confidence to own it.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

  • Lead & elevate: Recruit, train, and develop an ambitious team, giving regular, constructive feedback to maximise performance.
  • Drive results: Own membership growth, secondary spend, and every revenue stream to maximise profitability.
  • Deliver exceptional experiences: Lead by example on the gym floor and reception, making every visit feel personal and elevated.
  • Operate with precision: Deliver all operational processes (daily, weekly, monthly) to the highest standard, consistently.
  • Champion standards: Maintain outstanding cleanliness, presentation, and safety at all times.
  • Engage & motivate: Build team buy-in to national campaigns and focuses (#WorkoutWednesday, #WeCommunicate).
  • Solve problems: Stay resilient, agile, and solutions-driven when challenges arise.
  • Own compliance & safety: Oversee all policies and procedures, including Health & Safety and pool plant operations.

Qualifications

What you'll bring

Essential

  • Minimum 1 year's management experience in the fitness industry
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to adapt your communication and management style
  • A member-first mindset and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Commercial awareness and a genuine drive to deliver results
  • Resilience and a positive, solutions-driven approach
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays as required
  • A real passion for health, fitness, and wellbeing
