About Fizzy Moon Brewhouse & Grill

Family run. Independent. Around £3m turnover. One site, ten years of trading, and a standard that does not move.

Fizzy Moon Brewhouse & Grill is an independent bar, kitchen and live music venue in the centre of Royal Leamington Spa. Not a chain, not part of a group. The site has been a licensed venue for over 30 years and has traded as Fizzy Moon for the last ten, turning over around £3m gross.

This is an established, working business with a team already in place. You would be joining a family, not starting from scratch.

We are wet led, and everything we do is high end. The bar is the main trade, with food served through the day, a Sunday Roast we are known for, and a busy events programme alongside it. Live music every Saturday, a DJ every Friday, karaoke, corporate functions, private hire and bank holiday weekends. On site we run the main bar, a large marquee, one of the best beer gardens in town, and the Karaoke Lounge.

It is fast paced and busy here, and we like it that way. The team is small enough that everyone knows each other and looks out for each other, and the atmosphere on the floor is a happy one. What does not move is the standard. Whether it is a Sunday Roast at one o'clock or a full marquee on a bank holiday, every plate, every drink and every guest gets the same level of service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The Role

This is a new role, created as part of a restructure, and it reports directly to the owner. It is about standards, service and delivery on the floor. You will not carry P&L responsibility.

You will lead the management team below you, and you will be wherever is needed on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as any large private bookings and bank holidays.

What You Will Own

  • Rotas, built to a labour target
  • Service standards on the floor, held consistently, at every volume
  • Daytime food service and Sunday Roasts, delivered to the same standard as a Saturday night
  • Cellar management and line cleaning
  • Cleaning schedules across the whole site
  • Maintenance, so that problems get fixed rather than reported
  • Health and safety, and licensing compliance
  • Training and development of the team, and the culture they work in
  • Operational delivery of our events programme, from live music and bank holiday weekends through to corporate functions and Christmas in the marquee

What We Are Looking For

  • A wet led background. You have run a bar or a pub, not only a restaurant floor
  • At least 3 years in bar or pub management
  • Someone who sets the standard rather than waiting to be told what it is, and who keeps it when the room is three deep at the bar
  • Comfortable being the face of the business on a busy Saturday night, and someone guests remember
  • Able to hold a team to a high standard while keeping them happy. We want people who want to be here
  • Energy. This is a fast paced site and the pace is part of the job
  • Personal Licence preferred
  • Able to reliably commute to Leamington Spa CV32 5EE, or relocate before starting

What We Offer

  • From £50,000 a year plus a bonus. We have not set a ceiling for the right person
  • A close, friendly team that you join rather than have to build from scratch
  • Room to run operations your way, as long as the standards are there
  • Employee discount, discounted or free food, and a company pension

Full-time, permanent. On site, Royal Leamington Spa.

If that sounds like your kind of building, apply here or send a CV and a short note about the last venue you ran.
