Role Description

The General Manager Operations role is a full-time hybrid position based in Spalding, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees day-to-day operational performance across production, trade, and online channels, ensuring that processes, workflows, and resources are aligned with business goals. The General Manager Operations will manage teams in the workshop and sales, coordinate scheduling, monitor stock levels, and ensure that products meet quality standards and are delivered on time.

  • Overseeing production, buying, planning, tracking budgets and costs.
  • Implementing operational improvements.
  • Supporting strategic planning with leadership.
  • Collaborating with founders to maintain brand integrity, support growth initiatives, and cultivate a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in General Management and Operations Management, overseeing multi-channel or product-focused businesses.
  • Strong Team Management and Customer Service skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams.
  • Demonstrated Budgeting and cost-control skills, including planning, forecasting, and monitoring operational expenses.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and process improvement.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment in Spalding, with the ability to be onsite regularly as required.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across production, retail, and online teams.
  • Experience in consumer products, home fragrance, lifestyle, or manufacturing operations is beneficial.
  • Relevant education or training in business, operations, or management is an advantage, or equivalent practical experience.
