General Manager - Restaurant, Bar & Entertainment

York

£40k + monthly profit bonus & benefits

Are you an energetic, commercially focused hospitality manager ready to take the next step in your career? Could you lead from the front, inspire a team and create an experience customers want to come back for? Fancy taking ownership of a brand-new entertainment venue and putting your stamp on it from day one?

We’re delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a General Manager on behalf of a successful and growing immersive entertainment business. With a strong brand, a family feel and ambitious plans for growth, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the business at an exciting time. With a brand-new York site opening, incorporating a restaurant, bar and immersive games, you’ll have a genuine opportunity to help build the team, shape the culture and make the venue your own.

This could be the perfect opportunity if you're already an experienced Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager and are ready to step up into your first General Manager role. You don't necessarily need to have held the GM title before – we're looking for someone with the leadership skills, commercial awareness, energy and ambition to take that next step.

This isn’t simply about keeping a venue running. You’ll be responsible for building the team, setting the culture, driving sales and creating an exceptional customer experience. You’ll bring energy, ideas and creativity to the role, while making sure high standards and best practice are embedded across every part of the operation. Most importantly, you’ll lead by example and create a team that is as passionate about the brand as you are.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
