Vertu Ford Newcastle

Competitive basic salary | OTE: £120,000 | Company Car + Exceptional Benefits

As one of the largest motor retailers in the UK, Vertu Motors’ continued success is built on strong performance, growth, and leadership. Our mission — “to deliver an outstanding customer motoring experience through honesty and trust” — sits at the heart of everything we do and is central to the role of a General Manager.

Since opening in 2023, our Ford dealership has gone from strength to strength, establishing itself as a high-performing and successful operation ahead of plan. We are proud to consistently deliver service results at or above the national average, while achieving top-quartile performance for customer satisfaction.

Our thriving dealership employs 45 colleagues across the business and continues to grow, with significant capacity available for future expansion. We operate across both retail and commercial sectors and are recognised for holding the largest Light Commercial Vehicle market share in our region.

We are looking for an exceptional leader who can deliver outstanding performance across all departments while ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction. You will be values-driven, ambitious, and passionate about both people and results, with a proven ability to lead from the front and inspire high-performing teams.

Our competitive advantage lies in the quality of our people. We are seeking someone with determination, energy, and integrity — a leader who can take ownership of a dealership and drive it to the next level.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
