General Manager
£45,000 per annum, 7-day operation
We’re looking for an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of a dynamic contract catering site based at a high-profile location.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality leader to take ownership of a varied operation encompassing café service, events, seminar and conference spaces, and an innovative AI space.
The site operates 7 days a week, so you’ll play a key role in ensuring consistently high standards of service, hospitality and operational delivery across the full operation.
As General Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the team and ensuring the smooth, efficient and commercially successful running of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and motivating the site team across a 24/7, 7-day operation
- Overseeing café, events, seminar and conference catering
- Building strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders
- Driving excellent customer service and hospitality standards
- Managing staffing, rotas, performance and team development
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, health & safety and compliance
- Monitoring operational performance and supporting commercial targets
- Coordinating event and conference requirements from planning through to delivery
- Identifying opportunities to improve service, efficiency and customer experience
- Working collaboratively with the wider contract catering team

About You
We’re looking for an experienced hospitality or contract catering manager who is confident leading a complex, fast-paced operation.
You’ll Ideally Have
- Previous experience in a General Manager, Operations Manager or senior catering management role
- Experience within contract catering, workplace hospitality or a high-volume hospitality environment
- Strong people leadership and team development skills
- Excellent client and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience managing events and conference catering
- A commercial and operational mindset
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- The ability to remain calm and solutions-focused in a busy environment
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer experiences
