General Manager - The Piano Works, Covent Garden

We are looking for a General Manager who is a true party starter! Someone looking to make a mark on the industry as we develop and grow this iconic brand, who is willing to go above & beyond and create the best party atmosphere possible. Jump on the Bar-top... throw some wild shapes... swing the lights... throw the ice... sing 'til your hearts content & help get the party in full swing! Live Music experience is a must!

We are The Piano Works. Part restaurant/part bar/part concert, and full-on party! We are a non-stop, late-night, live music venue with skilled musicians & DJ's performing nightly as well as non-stop live music features for our raucous weekly Saturday brunches.

What We Need:

General Managers are the backbone of our teams by setting example and supporting every single team member! We are looking for standout people to come and make a real impact in the business!

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and confidently run busy shifts, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.
  • Handle P&L management, stock control, meeting targets, and submitting reports.
  • Be a creative manager, coming up with innovative ideas to make your bar the best place to visit and work.
  • Manage and develop a team of professionals, inspiring and incentivise them to deliver 5-star service.
  • Ensure compliance with licenses, risk assessments, and health & safety standards.
  • Organize team rotas and efficiently manage labour.

Skills and Experience:

  • Live Music experience is a must!
  • First-class knowledge of classic cocktails and a passion for mixology.
  • Confident with handling money and strong business acumen.
  • Excellent leadership, training, and team-building skills.
  • Methodical, thorough, and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Approachable, self-motivated, and driven with excellent communication skills.
  • You’ll need to be a hands-on manager who isn’t afraid to get behind a station when your team is in the weeds and smash out those dozen Old Fashions!
