General Manager | Contract Logistics | Coventry
An opportunity to lead a 1 million sq. ft. start-up facility, build a strong team and shape the operation from the outset.
EA First has exclusively partnered with a growing global 3PL to recruit a General Manager for its Coventry site. The business continues to attract blue-chip customers and is investing in new technology, continuous improvement and operational transformation.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll lead eight direct reports and a wider team of 400–500, with responsibility across warehousing, inventory and health & safety.

The Role
- Lead site performance, delivering against demanding operational and customer targets.
- Develop the management team and create a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
- Build strong customer relationships, supporting their growth and long-term plans.
- Drive site transformation through process improvements, layout changes and systems implementation.
- Identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency and colleague satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For

- An experienced General Manager or Site Manager with at least seven years’ experience in 3PL contract logistics.
- Experience within retail, technology or e-commerce operations.
- A track record of managing substantial budgets, ideally up to £15m annually.
- Strong people leadership and customer relationship skills.
- Experience launching a new operation or leading major operational projects would be a distinct advantage.
